Meet the owner

The guy who actually shows up.

Adirondack Property Works is run by Ben Brenan, who has spent more than twenty years doing this work — siding and decks, floors and drywall, docks in and docks out, and every odd job in between. Along the way he learned what property owners want more than anything: someone who answers the phone, turns up when he said he would, does the job right the first time, and leaves the place cleaner than he found it.

That is the standard the whole business runs on. When you call, you get Ben — not a call center, not a quote from someone who has never seen the property. He walks the job, tells you what it needs, and tells you plainly if something isn’t worth doing.

He lives and works in these communities year-round, which is the part that matters most to the owners who aren’t here all the time. When the wind comes through in February, somebody is twenty minutes away rather than four hours.

Who we are

One local contractor
for the whole property.

Most property owners up here end up with a list. The siding that needs washing, the deck boards that have gone soft, a door that won’t latch, the dock that has to come out before the ice. Adirondack Property Works exists so that list goes to one person instead of four, and so it actually gets done.

We handle exterior work, interior work, general contracting and the small repairs a lot of contractors are too busy to take. We work on year-round homes and on camps that sit empty half the year, and both get the same thing: a straight answer up front, work done properly, and the place left clean.

What we look after

Exterior

Siding, decks, pressure washing, doors and windows, and docks in and out with the season. The side of the property that takes the worst of an Adirondack winter.

Exterior services ›

Interior

Flooring, drywall, electrical, and the finish work that turns a room back into a room. Clean, contained, and tidied up at the end of every day.

Interior services ›

General & handyman

Larger projects that need more than one trade and someone to keep them in order — plus the running list of small repairs. No job is too small to call about.

General services ›

Camp care & inspections

Mountain camp opening and closing, scheduled property and security inspections, storm checks, and minor repairs handled on the spot while the owners are away.

How we work

What you can count on.

01

Straight answers

What the job involves, what it costs, and when it can get done — before anything starts. If something isn’t worth doing, you’ll hear that too.

02

We show up

On the day we said, at the time we said. If something changes, you get a call, not silence.

03

Done right, once

Two decades of doing this means knowing where the shortcuts are — and not taking them. The work is built to last through Adirondack winters.

04

Your place, respected

Dust contained, tools put away, everything cleaned up before we leave. It’s your home or your camp, not a job site.

Who we work for

Year-round neighbors
and seasonal owners.

People who live here

Year-round homeowners who want one number to call for the whole list, instead of chasing a different trade for every line on it.

Camp & seasonal owners

Owners whose place sits empty six months or more, who need it opened, closed, checked on, and kept secure while they’re hours away.

One job, one time

People with a single thing that needs doing and nobody returning their calls about it. Small jobs are worth calling about — that’s most of this work.

Your eyes on the property
while you’re away.

If your camp sits empty for months at a time, a lot can happen that you won’t hear about until spring. We check in on it for you — walking the property, making sure it’s secure, looking it over after big storms, and fixing small problems before they turn into expensive ones. You get a report after every visit.
